Request a Commission
Painting commissions allow you to own a unique piece of art that can be handed down through generations. Historically, paintings end up increasing in value over time and often end up in museums after a few generations or decades. Portrait paintings especially adds depth and humanity to the people we love.
I have many projects going at once so please send me your ideas so I can give you the best estimate of time and cost.

Commissions can be any size. Each piece is unique and I will offer my professional opinion on what sizes are suitable for the subject. As a result price will vary greatly. As a rough estimate, expect a minimum price of $200 for small commissions PLUS shipping costs. The larger a painting is, the more it will cost.
As the artist, I reserve the right to reject a commission request if it does not fit into a suitable time frame or my subject matter I feel comfortable working with. I also may reject an idea if I feel like I'm just not the right artist for your commission. This might happen if you want something painted in a specific style or medium I don't have experience or a desire to work in, e.g., hyperrealism, watercolor, cubism.
I also understand commissioning a painting can be expensive. You are buying a unique piece of art in a medium that requires skill and experience. I will send an invoice once I have calculated the final cost of the commission. I'll try to include estimated shipping as well in the invoice. Larger work may need to be sent in a crate, which can add up to $2000 to the final cost. Additionally, half of the total cost (before shipping) is due as a deposit before the painting is started. Then the other half is due upon completion, payable via cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, or invoice.
