This painting is inspired by the Unicorn tapestries from the 14th century. Unicorns are mystical, fictional creatures. Often representing an innocent, Christ-likeness. They are said to be caught by being lured out by a virgin. In this piece, the unicorn and female figure are inside/next to a walled garden. 
 
Oranges are growing in the tree. Night blooming jasmine and morning glories grow along the wall. Primrose and small star-shaped flowers cover the grass. The brushstrokes of this painting represent small lines, like the weave of a tapestry.
