This painting depicts a small outlet on Durand Eastman Beach in Rochester, NY. This painting was painted from life, at the beach. I was interested in the lines of the small stream, beach edge, and tree line. The shadows and lights across the sand. If you get really close you can even see some small grains of sand in the paint. It was really windy that day.
