This painting was painted directly from life with the model sitting in front of me. CJ is also the model for my painting "Drawing in the Gallery". He is a model, artist, and student in Rochester. This painting was painted in around two hours, hence the loose brushstrokes and less "refined" appearance compared to my other work. Instead of detail, space is made up by bold, flatter colors.
