This portrait was a way to experiment with a different way of painting from my usual. Many different colored lines next to each other to make up the face. It reminds me of drawing or etchings but with color instead of line density. 
 
The background has 7 stars and subtle hints of blue and yellow because the sitter, Allen, is Bosnian; the colors and stars a reference to the flag.
